- Support HR Business Partner in hiring processes including applicant scheduling, record keeping, recruiting initiatives and orientation scheduling
- Provide the Operations Team with needed support for meetings, internal committees and other plant initiatives.
- Coordinate site visits, plant tours and training events, ensuring security and safety guidelines are communicated and followed
- Order supplies and other items as directed by HR Business Partner or General Manager; monitor inventory levels in break rooms, First Aid room and main office
- Manage employee monthly safety training enrollment, report compliance and coordinate safety incentive program, and other safety initiatives.
- Prepares correspondence, maintains files, schedules meetings, prepares and issues minutes of meetings, and prepares special projects as assigned.
- Update internal plant communications as needed, including emails, safety statistics, Communication Boards, bulletin boards, GAF Link, directional signage, safety updates, job postings, etc.
- Create presentations, spreadsheets, fliers, documents, etc.
- Facilitate meeting space, meals and supply requests for Burgaw Team events
- Ensure permits are filed for critical Safety Programs and 100% compliance
- Compiles statistics on Time off Bank and Attendance Points for all hourly employees
- Provide General Support to Managers and supervisors on EHS action items, developing presentations, postings, etc.
- Respond to requests from customers (both internal and external) in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain documents and required record keeping for EHS Management Practice Audit, employee training, plant meetings and new hire orientations
- Organize office tasks and simplify administrative duties to increase team efficiency (visitor log, PPE, employee badge, etc)
- Contribute to positive community perceptions by assisting with social media posts, advertising and company events
- Support FORCE related initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
- Required to sit, stand, walk (up and down stairs), use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools and product samples
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch
- Ability to perform detailed testing processes in various process conditions
- Ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing and proofreading
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- High School Diploma is required,
- 1 or more years of experience in an office environment
- Demonstrated experience working in a customer-focused and multi-functional team environment
- Strong computer skills are required as well as the ability to adapt to new systems effectively
- Strong planning, prioritization, organizational and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Familiar with office management concepts, practices & procedures
- Intermediate proficiency in software systems (G-Suite, SharePoint)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 or more years of experience in an office environment or related role is preferred
