We are innovating value-based care and leveraging integrated applications, population insights and staffing expertise to ensure all patients have access to high-quality, connected care services that provide better outcomes at a reduced total cost of care.Job DescriptionIn this role, the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner- Labor Relations will report to the SVP, HR Business Partner, and partner with our Senior Leadership team and Legal department to support a unionized workforce across multiple locations and departments. This individual will manage and maintain positive and constructive relationships with all labor unions. Coordinate collective bargaining negotiations, as well as coordinate contract administration, grievance resolution, and disciplinary policies.This role will work closely with Learning and Development and Employee Relations to provide training programs to both management and employees on labor relations policies, procedures, and best practices. This individual can help foster positive relationships between management and employees, mitigate conflicts, and ensure compliance with labor laws, ultimately contributing to a productive and harmonious work environment.How you can make a difference:
  • Coordinate collective bargaining negotiations, as well as coordinate contract administration, grievance resolution, and disciplinary policies.
  • Master the provisions of all collective bargaining agreements and attempt to identify and resolve complaints before they rise to formal grievances.
  • Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance.
  • Calendar all key dates and provide required notifications to unions (e.g. monthly rosters, notifications of personnel actions) within required deadlines.
  • Serve as a member of an applicable Labor-Management Committee(s).
  • Responsible for discipline and termination of employees, when necessary, in compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and employment laws; in collaboration with General Counsel, prepare disciplinary charges and specifications, and grievance responses; may represent employer at grievances and arbitrations, and coordinate with union shop stewards and representatives.
  • Provide employees and leadership with HR Policy and Union Contract guidance and interpretation, where applicable.
  • Work closely with the broader HR Business Partner team to provide coaching, advise, counsel on labor relations training and resources.

Experience to drive change:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, and/or Labor Relations.
  • 10+ years of related Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 5 years of prior Labor Relations experience.
  • Advanced HR certification(s) preferred.
  • Proven experience handling workplace complaints and conflict resolution; experience providing guidance to managers on performance management, company policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to quickly connect with people across a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Skilled at solving conflicts in a direct but positive way.
  • Critical listening skills and ability to demonstrate the ability to make judgment decisions.
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and influence across the organization at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with highly sensitive matters.
  • Critical thinker with demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of federal, state, and city employment laws (i.e. EEO, ADA, FMLA, NYC Human Rights, Sick and Safe leave, Sexual Harassment, NLRA).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail. Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must be able to prioritize a variety of time sensitive tasks. Consistently display the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion. Must be able to develop strong, trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
For Colorado Residents only: This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $130,000.
