  • Financial Management – providing robust financial planning, management, tracking and reporting, with Global/Regional/Country including:
o Accrual process and Balance sheet account reviews -lead the monthly accrual reviews with suppliers, challenging MoM variances and accuracy to actuals. Conduct deep dive review of balance sheet accounts to identify any potential issues and ageing items.
o Actuals by Building Analysis - conduct in-depth analysis of actuals by building to identify issues with reporting of costs against non-operational/ mothballed properties, mapping of nominals to target/ forecast and ascertain variance to plan at a property level. This is critical to ensure our readiness for the FRP process.
o Active involvement and engagement with Finance & MI teams to define and deliver regional and country reporting needs that ensure consistency and accuracy of data
o Business Partnering and representing CS recharges, explaining key movements.
  • Procurement Management – providing CS teams the appropriate support to contract and deliver with the appropriate providers, in particular end to end process from PSR to Purchase Order, Invoicing, and cost control, including internal processes like Archer, ORT,…
  • Risks and Controls Management – driving oversight of HBCE CS L1 and L2 control effectiveness in practical and on Helios tool, ensuring appropriate governance is developed and implemented with robust documentation and supporting management policies to manage CS Risk.
  • Communication – developing and executing communication plans with regional/market COO offices and Communications teams, producing governance & stakeholder materials, highlighting and promoting any “services” delivered, with appropriate benchmarks, metrics and reporting on efficiency, effectiveness and success of those “services”.
In this role you will be in contact with a very large range of HSBC counterparts including senior stakeholders, within Corporate Services teams, including our Global Vendors from JLL, CBRE, Arcadis, in markets and in HBEU, and within our partners from Global Functions like Procurement, Finance, Risk, …
If no particular skills are expected in Real Estate or Buidling services, it is very clear that appetite for practical delivery, workplace environment and user/customer experience could help the role to stay connected to our practical missions.RequirementsYou should apply if you have:
  • Strong financial analytical background and proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning, including being able to contextualise financial data into business activities and conclusions

  • Demonstrated results in delivering successful management and control processes across multiple functions and geographies
  • Strong awareness and understanding of internal controls and operational risk environment
  • High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across HSBC. The role holder will be predominantly self-reliant and expected to be creative and resolve issues where possible without escalation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group. French language is required and a very good level of English as well.
