Empath Health is currently seeking a Pharmacist (PRN) to join our team.The Staff Pharmacist:
  • Responsible for the compounding, preparing, packaging, dispensing, distribution, monitoring, and control of all drugs.
  • Provides drug information and supervises pharmacy technician.
Position Requirements:
  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Pharmacist with the Florida Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy
  • Continuing education: Meet continuing education requirements as noted by the Florida Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy Division
  • Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, if immunization certified.
  • Professional interaction skills with medical, nursing and ancillary staffs.
  • Able to supervise technician and volunteers.
  • Supports Hospice philosophy and objectives.
  • Retail/outpatient/hospital experience.
  • Sterile product experience.
  • Excellent telephone manners.
  • Able to lift light loads and has good eye-hand coordination.
