The Head of Interactive is responsible for leadingInteractive delivery the newly formed CEMEA region. This involves bringing together a talented team ofdigital specialists and inspiring them to produce at the highest standard.We are looking for a passionate leader and technical champion to lead our Interactive team in the CEMEAregion. You will manage a large team of HTML5, Javascript, CSS developers, Project Managers, GraphicArtists, QA Testers, and be ultimately responsible for the clients’ digital delivery. These teams are distributedbetween multiple locations.You have an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging front-end technologies and can work with serversidetechnical leads to create and integrate complex client-side applications. You will collaborate with anumber of Hogarth teams to define the optimum technical approach for client projects and promote qualityand craft in your work and the work of those you lead.Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen, understand, advocate, and persuade are essentialas you will represent your practice in client and internal senior stakeholder meetings. You will provide technicalthought leadership and promote the vision, strategy, and services of the interactive team and to be seen asa leading figure in the industry.You must be enthusiastic about technology and constantly be looking at the next innovation. On top ofpossessing strong oral, interpersonal, and organizational abilities, you must be able to work in a fast-pacedenvironment.Key measures of success:

productivity.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership and team management
  • Lead all Internal Interactive teams (Tech, Developers, Project Management, QA, and Resource
Management) across multiple offices/countries.
  • Coach and develop the team in their roles with regular performance reviews to ensure success in
their personal development.
  • Act as the point of escalation for project issues raised by team leads, resolving problems quickly and
communicating effectively.
  • Bring together a diverse team across multiple locations to ensure an efficient production setup,
producing high quality output at scale.
  • Ensure the team are well utilized (KPI driven) and performing to the high standard.
  • Lead by example, to build an inclusive team culture, where collaboration, fresh thinking, a can-do
attitude and Hogarth values are embedded within the team DNA.
  • Review team structure and resource on an ongoing basis and, with the help of data, ensure the client
is serviced appropriately whilst maintaining agreed profitability.
  • Plan resources for all Interactive teams and inform Business Director and Operations Lead of new
recruitment needs.
  • Plan, prepare and implement the induction of new starters.
Collaboration
  • Successfully establish a trusted and strong partnership with key clients.
  • Build strong internal relationships across Hogarth and ensure successful collaboration of the
production team with other Hogarth functions – essential to Hogarth’s success.
  • Work closely with Global Interactive Director and functional SMEs to ensure on-going improvements
and best-in-class performance and output.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Hogarth business model, services and technology.
  • Able to be flexible and respond to changing needs, both external and internal.
  • Possess a strong understanding of, and consistently deliver against, all contractual obligations,
commercial arrangements, KPIs and SLAs with our client.
  • Remove barriers and find solutions to meet client needs. Communicate clearly with clients on
recommendations and solutions as part of planning, briefing and review sessions,
  • Excellence in operational planning and execution.
  • Provide necessary data for budgets and constant reforecasting.
Innovations, initiatives, and best practice
  • Ensure compliance with Hogarth production processes.
  • Set and manage client expectations while coordinating and ensuring all parties follow the agreed
workflows.
  • Ensure your account consistently delivers against all contractual obligations including SLAs and KPIs
  • Act as a brand QC/Guardian – always ensure brand guidelines, QC checklists and procedures are
followed.
  • Create balanced work schedule and ensure people are able to deliver results.
  • Identify training requirements for team members to ensure their adherence to processes and workflow
  • Be a champion and leader of best practices in the region, and work with other Hogarth leads around
the world to raise the bar on agency and industry standards.Requirements:
  • Relevant industry experience and proven leadership background, including leading a large team
(minimum 5 direct reports and 50+ total team, across multiple offices/countries).
  • Experience of leading innovation, leveraging emerging platforms and quickly facilitating new ideas and
platforms to market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Know-how in working cross-functionally to build relationships between business units, technology,
product, media, agency, and design teams.
  • Experience working on international initiatives – ideally with exposure to emerging markets.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Extensive experience in costing, quotations, and project scope definition.
  • Excellent communication skills to different target groups within the project team, management and
clients.
  • Ensure understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements and SLAs of the
accounts and ensure specific details are understood by the wider team where relevant.
  • Analytical and detailed in project documentation, accountability, and tracking.
  • Pragmatic, team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of brands and brand challenges.
  • The ability to function productively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • High level of IT literacy, including use of spreadsheets. Strong numeracy skills.
  • Support Business Director and Operations Lead in revenue forecasting on an ongoing basis.
  • Keep Business Director informed of any circumstances which would positively or negatively affect
forecasts.
  • Ensure full compliance with all financial procedure and policies.
  • Prioritization, time management and attention to detail.
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, customer focused, and proactive.
  • Possess technical understanding of mobile and web technologies necessary to run projects and
convey details. Examples would be: iOS and Android development.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Cloud computing, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript,
ecommerce/Shopping Carts, Social Media Strategies/Platforms.
  • Familiarity with creative production and development tools is always an advantage. Such software
includes Adobe Creative Suite, BBEdit, SVN, GitHub, Eclipse, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro andothers. In addition, familiarity with mobile and web platforms and ecosystems would also beadvantageous.
