Apply today and embark on an exciting journey with us!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs Structural Draftsman Designer in District 12-0's Bridge Design Unit, the position's primary responsibility is to draft various design plans such as Structure Plans, Type Size and Location Plans, or Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans in accordance with design standards, working directly with a civil engineer and under the direction of a squad leader, meeting project deadlines and goals.Projects are primarily located in Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties, and can consist of full structural replacements, superstructure replacements, structural rehabilitations, structural preservations, and structural repairs.A strong candidate for this position should be familiar with the preparation of structure plans and possess firm technical abilities, especially in the area of drafting (e.g. MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.), the ability to communicate well with others, the ability to prioritize and organize, and the ability to adapt to change.Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. (based on operational considerations).
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on Monday and Friday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Bridge and Structural Drafter. or
  • Three years of experience in a variety of drafting assignments, one of which shall have been in bridge and structural drafting, including six months CADD experience or training, and graduation from high school. or
  • Two years of experience in bridge and structural drafting and detailing assignments including six months of CADD experience or training and an Associate's Degree in civil engineering, drafting, or design technology. or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
