Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Full GMC Registration
- Full GMC Registration. Recent experience in Orthoplastic care
- experience in orthoplastics / lower limb recon
- Completion of Orthoplastic Fellowship (TIG or equivalent training)
- Entry on the specialist register for plastic surgery (or entry expected within the year or demonstration of progression towards CESR)
Essential
- Comprehensive clinical experience in plastic surgery.
- Experience in the full range of Plastics, microsurgery and trauma.
Essential
- Ability to work as an effective member of the wider Plastic surgery team
- Operative experience in line with requirements of Indicative Logbook for Plastic Surgery
- Evidence of developing and maintaining a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of clinical audit relevant to improving care of plastic patients
Essential
- Experience of undergraduate teaching and post graduate training.
- Experience of supervising core surgical and specialty trainees or equivalent.
- Ability to teach clinical and operative skills
- Teaching qualification.

- Ability to work in a team.
- Good interpersonal skills.

- Caring attitude to patients.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies.
