- Design, deploy, and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure for existing and future state, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, protocols, and best practices to protect against threats and ensure compliance with industry standards/frameworks.
- Design and develop highly technical training content and development programs, curriculums, and training standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve individual and organizational performance.
- Monitor network performance and utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as application developers, cloud engineers, and security professionals, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with broader IT strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures by managing application plugins – research, installation, configuration, procurement, intake requests from users and comparing needed functionality from request capabilities already available in the tool.
- Experience with user management of medium-sized user base (~5000) which includes new user additions, group management, user permissions, user deactivation, permissions reviews, and communicating with the user base.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies, tools, and solutions to improve efficiency, performance, and security. Participate in incident response and problem management processes, providing technical expertise and leadership during network-related incidents.

- At least 10 years’ of experience in computer networking, IT infrastructure management, or related roles
- Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and architectures (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls)
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices from vendors like Atlassian, Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto Networks.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including encryption, access control, and threat mitigation
- Experience working in a cloud-based or hybrid network environment, with knowledge of cloud networking technologies like AWS VPC, Google Cloud VPN, or Azure Virtual Network
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python)
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, New Relic)
- Excellent in Instructional Design, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage learners.
- Experience working with cross functional teams and demonstrating strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with federal clients.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple training initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Expertise in conducting needs assessment, analyzing training needs, and evaluating training effectiveness with variety of techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Certified CompTIA, Microsoft, or related industry certification preferred.
