We are seeking LSW-licensed social workers who are eager to advance their careers by obtaining their LISW certification.Our goal is to strengthen child and family functioning by focusing on prevention, early intervention, and treatment of behavioral and mental health concerns within the pediatric primary care setting. Candidates will provide consultations and brief interventions to patients within the pediatric primary care office. While candidates should have familiarity and experience with evidence-based treatment for common pediatric presenting concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral concerns and sleep), individuals in this role will receive comprehensive training and supervision to build the skills in evidence-based treatments of these conditions. Training and supervision will be provided by experts in integrated behavioral health and evidence-based treatments. Supervision of employment experience that is required for licensure as an independent social worker shall be provided according to independent licensure guidelines within the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for integrated, multidisciplinary approaches to care; interest in expanding expertise and learning; and will have opportunities for advancement/promotion within the IBH program after obtaining their independent license.REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIESInterprofessional Practice: Demonstrate consistent utilization of Integrated Behavioral Health model in all aspects of practice.Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Diverse: Consistently integrate age specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's chronological age and developmental functioning.Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and identify patient /family's health care needs, strengths, challenges and opportunities. Evaluate patient/family/ caregiver safety concerns. Intervene appropriately to reduce risk. Report suspicions of abuse and neglect to legally mandated authorities for investigations. Utilize assessment to guide treatment intervention to be completed within the practice.Resource Management: Partner with the patient/family/caregivers in obtaining community resources. Maintain fluent knowledge of internal and external resources. Provide real time accurate information to patient/family/caregiver for resources for which they are eligible.Behavioral Health Interventions: Provide evidence-based interventions with the goal of improving mental and behavioral health for infants through young adults with a range of behavioral health concerns. Collaborate with health care team members. Provide education to the patient/family/caregiver and members of the health care team about treatment options. Provide groups and programs for special populations as needed. Provide crisis assessment and stabilization interventions to patients/families/caregivers.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Identify and advocate for the needs of the patient/families/caregivers within the healthcare system and community. Act as a liaison between the patient/family/caregiver within the medical team and outside agencies. Empower the patient/family/caregiver to problem-solve by exploring options of care when available and alternative plans, when necessary, to achieve desired outcomes. Facilitate communication and coordination between members of the health care team while involving the patient/family/caregiver in the decision-making process in order to minimize fragmentation of services.Continuity of Care: Partner with the patient, family, healthcare team in the safe transition of care to the next, most appropriate level.Professional Development: Participate in professional growth opportunities. Educate healthcare professionals on the psychosocial aspects of patient care and the roles and functions of integrated behavioral health. Maintain current in the field through continuing education, literature and seminars and implement that knowledge into the practices. Promote a positive work environment. Attend staff meetings, supervisory meetings and in-service programs to develop professional skills, including weekly consultation groups aimed at expanding knowledge and use of evidence-based treatment interventions.Outcomes & Evaluation: Utilize measurement-based care approach to treatment and collect/report outcome measures in accordance with divisional and program guidelines. Use this data to effectiveness of interventions, and alter interventions based on results.QualificationsJob Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social work
  • LSW license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board
  • Previous related experience
  • Clinical supervision will be provided to candidates as required by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Board for independent licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:The successful candidate will have early career experience and strong interest in additional training in brief, evidence-based, behavioral treatments for common mental and behavioral health disorders, as well as training in child development and crisis intervention and management.
