The USDS Risk & Response Team is a multi-disciplinary team that handles risk detection, prevention, and handling in the United States.
You will implement the overall Law Enforcement strategy for the US market, with an emphasis on key Trust and Safety policy areas.The role may be exposed to harmful content as part of their core day-to-day functions, as well as in project work; in response to escalation requests; or by chance.
Some content viewed my violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.Responsibilities:
- You will cultivate strategic ties with US law enforcement and government authorities, aligning their needs with company goals
- Educate law enforcement on policies, focusing on user privacy and legal responses
- Collaborate on online safety with internal teams and external entities, such as child protection and counter-terrorismQualifications:- Experience in at least one: 1) US Law Enforcement or Intelligence Agencies 2) Law Enforcement Outreach Programs in private industry 3) US Government Relations, or a combination of these domains
- Proficient in US privacy laws (CCPA, COPPA) and industry guidelines for Internet companiesPreferred qualifications:
- Experience in cybercrime and online investigations, including experience in child safety and counter-terrorism
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role
