This position will have direct contact with City staff across all departments and divisions, as well as respond to external customers. The purpose of this position is to provide supportive duties to include but not limited to wastewater treatment.   • Education: Two year college program or equivalent combinations resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge or skills.
  • Experience: 4-6 years’ experience. Considerable previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid Arizona Class “D” Driver’s License
  • One Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade 4 certificate upon hire in Wastewater.
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications:
  • Previous lead or supervisor experience
  • Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment commonly found in a Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local environmental regulations applicable to water quality standards associated with the effective operation and maintenance of an activated sludge Wastewater Treatment Facility
  • Ability to lead and monitor the work of staff involved in wastewater treatment operations; establish and maintain effective working relationships.
