SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

• Analyze supplier related quality data including reporting and documentation
• Initiate and comply with the necessary escalations (for supplier development)
• Setting up and maintaining contacts and relations with the supply base mainly in the quality area
• Ensure escalation procedures are followed
• Conduct feasibility studies regarding characteristics and optimization of the incoming inspection plans
• Train/support employees
• Complete VDA 6.3 Process Audits at Suppliers location
• Improve processes
• Carrying out potential analyses.
• Processing and documentation of project-accompanying supplier monitoring activities
• Conducting supplier audits and the resulting coordination and monitoring of qualification measures
• Support of our plants regarding the compliance of suppliers with quality requirements on Q/E/OHS topics
• Application of lessons learned according to QMS
• Creation and implementation of uniform specifications, documents, forms and tolos.
• Execution of training courses
• Any other duties deemed necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering discipline, or a combination of education and experience totaling at least 5 years of quality specific training.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in process engineering or quality engineering in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Certification as auditor according to VDA 6.3 desired.
• English, German desirable

• In-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques and basic quality tools i.e. 8D, root causes analysis, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and cause mapping
• VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949 working knowledge
• Understanding of APQP gate Review development process
• Understanding of FMEA and GD&T
• Knowledge of SAP or similar
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
