- As a RN Quality Outcomes Specialist you will conduct clinical rounding with attention to use of evidence-based practice protocols adopted by the facility as best practice.
- You will support and message the importance of healthcare outcomes as they relate to safe and effective quality healthcare during shift huddles, unit rounds, interdisciplinary rounds, and other facility gatherings.
- As you identify needs for informational and educational sessions, you will prepare materials for these sessions, and deliver the learning to staff.
- You will collect data and review events through observation in the clinical setting, observe clinical processes and conduct surveillance activities, with immediate intervention (just-in-time) as indicated.
- In this role you will interact with patients and families regarding less than expected care experience, facilitate action and resolution with leadership, and provide timely written correspondence for case closure, maintaining cultural and diversity awareness.
- When dealing with hospital staff, leadership, co-workers, patients, visitors and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness.
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing (BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
- 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) within one year of position acceptance/hire date.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification within three months of position acceptance/hire date.
