The department manages the maintenance, repair, and modifications of state-of-the-art, complex vessels, and equipment, providing technical support on and offshore. You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical management, safe operation, and improvement of a wide range of mechanical equipment, proactively monitoring mechanical systems and performing operational and maintenance checks to reduce downtime. Additionally, you will contribute to company-wide improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of operations.What you will do
  • Organize and control repair and maintenance (R&M) of assigned vessel(s), managing daily technical operations and projects, including planning and budget control
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and vessel history
  • Ensure compliance with Vessel Management System, flag state rules, classification societies, IMO, and other relevant regulations, liaising with these bodies as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, stimulate and propose the use of new technologies and prepare (investment) proposals

What you already have
  • +4 years of experience in planning and engineering offshore operations
  • A MSc. or BSc. degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
  • A solution-finding and hands-on approach, since you will be the one putting the execution plan together with input from many others
  • A flexible mindset and communicative attitude, so you don't get stuck in your own ideas and you communicate any changes or decisions to all parties involved
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, international environment
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team and clients worldwide
  • Available for full-time work in The Hague area, and about 20% of your work time traveling around the globe
  • Passion for driving offshore technological solutions is key
