As part of our GDS - Risk Consulting- Regulatory Office team, you will help the Internal stakeholders and our clients navigate evolving and complex regulatory environment impacting their businesses. Translating regulatory requirements into innovative solutions that EY can offer to its clients. This role will actively help establish and enhance EY's brand as a leader in Regulatory Risk management. In line with our commitment to quality, you'll consistently drive projects to completion with high quality deliverables, achieve operational efficiency, proactively identify and raise risks with the client as well as EY senior management team, identify automation opportunities and drive internal initiatives.Your Key Responsibilities would include below:Client Responsibilities
  • Present and articulate business relevant point of view on existing and new regulations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Participate and lead Regulatory Compliance engagements.
  • Help manage the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders.
  • Drive-in business development initiatives along with client management and account management
  • Lead a team of researchers and ensure quality review of their deliverables.
  • Manage timely delivery of a regular calendar of research deliverables - including whitepapers, presentations, client-shared materials, case studies and best practice documents.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables by undertaking self review of the work and ensuring that it is aligned with EY guidelines for internal and external publication.
  • Manage editorial and content processes, involving different types of publications such as thought leadership reports, web articles, and case studies.
  • Build connects with client stakeholders, understand their business challenges/pain areas and work with leadership to propose innovative solutions
People Responsibilities
  • Develop people through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback
  • Contribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining, appraisal and training.
  • Contribute towards building and strengthening team competency for Regulatory Office
  • Maintain an educational program to develop skills of team members continually.
Decision-Making Responsibilities:
  • Support management in workforce planning, resourcing strategy, go to market strategy and demand generation.
  • Understand the business requirements clearly and lead practice development initiatives as required.
Other Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a cross section of sector, solution, account, branding teams to drive EY's thought leadership on wide range of regulatory topics.
  • Provide guidance to internal EY teams and clients on regulatory topics. Work with extensive stakeholder group to create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and addresses the risks inherent in the engagement.
  • Identify opportunities in existing accounts to cross-sell other EY services.
  • Planning and monitoring of the project deliverables from the team.
  • Create innovative insights for clients, adapts methods & practices to fit operational team needs & contributes to thought leadership documents.
  • Maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs and developing productive working relationships with client personnel. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments and new pronouncements/standards relevant to the client's business.
  • Training and mentoring of project resources
  • Participate in the organization-wide initiatives.
  • Lead practice initiatives and portfolios
  • Market trend +Digital trends.
  • Cross skill and cross train the team members as per the business requirements
Some of the shared characteristics of our successful hires include:
  • Strong appetite to dive deep into a given content terrain to develop key findings.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, identify and create original insights from information and data
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with particular attention to precision of language and ability to organize information logically.
  • Strong academic history (degree in Business, Accounting, or work experience in risk and internal audit team of Big 4 preferred).
  • Proven competence for meeting deadlines, multi-tasking and managing work under ambiguity/uncertainty (e.g., changing factors, limited information)
  • Proven competence for managing, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables effectively in order to achieve optimum results.
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite, data analysis & validation.
  • Experience in using databases such as one-source, Thomson Reuters, Lexis Nexis etc.
What you will need:
  • Master's (Management, Economics, Finance, MBA etc.) or a Degree in Law (LLB).
  • 10+ years of research and/or management consulting and/or risk management experience
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, interpreting regulatory requirements and changes.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory monitoring or legal function or consulting
  • Experience in Risk and compliance team including Internal Controls, Internal Audit and Compliance reviews.
  • Knowledge of industry specific compliance requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in leading and managing a team of researchers.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and relay ideas, engage clients and work in global teams.
