DescriptionChief Deputy Clerk / Journalizing ClerkExamples of DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Duties assigned to ensure the smooth operations of the Clerk of Courts office.
  • Generate Court documents, journalize judgment entries, process paperwork and send to the appropriate departments and agencies in a timely manner implemented to carry out the duty of the Clerk of Courts and the intention of the Court's decision.
  • Enter and file prep fresh complaints, 2-week tickets and citations (i.e. CMHA, Housing, CPD, RTA, Tax, Bratenahl, Lakefront, Metro Parks, State Highway Patrol, etc.). This includes Summons.
  • Responsible to journalize all cases and charges on the docket the DES Clerk is assigned to and utilize all tools given to ensure that this is accomplished.
  • Ensure the files are transported from the courtroom and returned to the designated area appropriate for the outcome of the Court decision, and to expedite paperwork accordingly to any department or agency.

To act as liaison between the court (i.e. Prosecutors, Personal Bailiffs, Bailiffs, Probation, Probation Officers, Judges/Magistrates and outside agencies) and the Clerk of Courts office in all matters pertaining to Criminal files.Minimum QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS

Supplemental InformationEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
