We offer opportunity for career growth, personal skill development and pay advancement!Pay starts at $27 / hour with $2 / hour differential for night shift!Position Summary:The team member is responsible for checking machines daily, per procedure and working with the Lead Technician to maintain equipment. The Junior Technician role is an entry-level position for Maintenance and requires mechanical aptitude and some experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment; ideally in injection.General Description:
  • Keep oils wiped up from floor and seek out oil leaks and reports them to the Lead Technician.
  • Complete daily check list on machines for proper operations and report abnormal performance of equipment.
  • Prepare mold to be removed from machines and install into machines safely and carefully with a full knowledge of rigging, lifting and transporting molds using overhead cranes and fork trucks.
  • Full knowledge of performing and recording preventive maintenance on all types of machines such as injection machines, mold temperature controllers, conveyors, loader, blenders, grinders, automation equipment, central water, air and material loading systems.
  • Properly clean, polish and lubricate all molds with basic knowledge of components and their functions.
  • Dismantle clean and set up blenders, loaders, controls and other equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of plastic materials, their characteristics and heat stability.
  • Ability to make process and robot adjustments per the Lead Technician’s instructions.
Shift Details:
  • Day Shift: 7am - 7pm (12 hour shift); $27 / hour
  • Night Shift: 7pm - 7am (12 hour shift); $27 / hour + $2 / hour shift differential
Schedule:Rotating schedule - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off; working 15 days total/month. Every other weekend off.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use Multimeter to make basic voltage and continuity tests
  • Must be reliable with a strong work ethic and communication skills.
  • Must keep good attendance and work overtime as needed by the company.
  • Must follow safety procedures.
  • Must complete training a minimum of 90 days or more depending on skill level upon reaching the 90 day period.
