- Generate new business in the public sector, targeting State, local, education, tribal, and utility accounts, both independently and in collaboration with Public Sector Account Managers.
- Effectively communicate the UScellular business story to stimulate demand and solve public sector business challenges with our product portfolio.
- Work closely with Public Sector Account Managers on sales strategies, customer presentations, and bid responses, providing necessary administrative and logistical support.
- Utilize CRM tools for sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, account status reporting, and strategizing for account growth and revenue achievement.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders within targeted public sectors.
- Create compelling proposals with clear value statements, deal economics, and customer benefits.
- Lead and participate in contract negotiations and management, focusing on profitable sales and effective contract lifecycle management.
- Use consultative selling approaches to articulate customer business value in proposals and presentations.
- Actively engage in prospecting to identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the public sector, utilizing various strategies to expand our reach in State, local, education, tribal, and utility sectors.
- Build a strong network within public sector communities to promote brand awareness and uncover new business opportunities.
- Conduct research on public sector market trends, procurement processes, and competitive landscapes to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Navigate through Requests for Proposals, Group Purchasing Organizations/Consortiums, and other public sector buying mediums to effectively close deals and foster long-term partnerships.
- 1-3 years of successful sales experience, with a preference for public sector sales experience.
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets and apply effective account management practices.
- Professional demeanor, high integrity, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to operate independently to build a successful sales pipeline, while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and vendors .
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Capability to work in a dynamic environment, balancing diverse demands and priorities.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience concentrated in wireless, software, IOT or related telecommunications industry
