- Drive ever-improving results by leveraging RBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process
- Assist site/company leadership in the development of a Continuous Improvement roadmap
- Facilitate the monthly Site Operations Review and ensure a rigorous Problem-Solving Process is utilized to address Key Performance Indicators that miss monthly targets
- Improve key business metrics of OTD, productivity and EBITDA by implementing and supporting lean and continuous improvement activities.
- Drive the operation to reduce scrap, improve inventory turns, ensure on-time delivery to customer want date, improve and sustain product availability and reduce manufacturing lead times.
- Promote and facilitate work flow analysis and creating/implementation of standard work to achieve improvement priorities.
- Coordinate and track the monthly strategy deployment activities and initiatives in support of meeting Business Metrics, Annual Improvement Priorities (AIPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Drive enhancements in Daily Management, visual management for sustainment of continuous improvement and 5S methodologies
- Organize and facilitate workshops and Kaizen events
- Ensure sustainment for all Kaizens & Workshops
- Directly provide formal and informal RBS training and coaching
- Assist in achieving Division Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives
- Continue to evolve RBS tools
- Identify Wastes throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them
- Improve RBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in RBS tools
- Promote and facilitate associate development in various RBS tools, lean production, and Kaizen leadership
- Evaluate and approve candidates for the RBS Tool Champion Certification
- Benchmark and incorporate best practices
- Other duties may be assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with assignments in lean manufacturing/continuous improvement implementation as well as operations leadership.
- Hands-on experience implementing Lean in manufacturing and transactional areas
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, levels below considered
- Experience in Aerospace manufacturing with solid background in metal manufacturing environment including metal cutting and grinding highly desirable
- Excellent writing/administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, Minitab, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
- Demonstrated ability to teach/train in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen tools.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with proven ability to develop employees.
