- Develop innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts and designs for components, assemblies, tools, and products of varying complexity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, vendors, manufacturing, quality, and customers to define design specifications and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) methodologies, theories, and techniques to create and review engineering documents for compliance with standards and specifications.
- Provide expert technical consultation to internal teams and customers based on comprehensive knowledge of design principles and standards.
- Prepare complex design layouts, schematics, and sketches, ensuring adherence to system and integration requirements within cost and producibility constraints.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings, test plans, procedures, and change history documentation according to engineering, military, and industrial standards.
- Coordinate closely with systems engineers to ensure designs meet contractual requirements and evaluate completed drawings and specifications for producibility and viability.
- Proficiently conduct tolerance analysis and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to designs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of CAD equipment and drafting techniques, including 3D modeling and manipulation of files.
