We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a government/contractor team on-site at Dahlgren Naval base in Dahlgren, VAResponsibilities:
- Provide journeyman level Electrical Engineering support to a complex and fast moving DoD program with real world impacts
- Will interface with other co-workers in a cross-functional team structure to translate end-user requirements into functional designs
- Will own the design process for one or more assigned projects and interface with vendors on specifications for printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly of designs
- Will apply knowledge and experience (5+ years) in Electrical Engineering processes, design, development, and testing
- Will apply knowledge and experience as a hardware developer in a DoD/SOF/FLE related organization
documenting system designs such as Altium, Agilent ADS, LT Spice, MATLAB, LabVIEW, CST, or HFSS (This includes experience developing technical data packages and documentation in accordance with DoD standards and instruction)Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium is preferred)
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with PCB layout and analysis
- Experience with RF circuit/antenna design and test methodologies
- Experience with inspection, test methodologies, diagnostic equipment, and software tools to analyze and resolve electrical engineering issues
- Experience with LTSpice or other circuit simulation environments
- Experience with low-power circuit design
- Experience writing embedded firmware for microprocessors
- Knowledge of wireless communications (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC) and/or commercial satellite communications architecture
- Familiarity with FPGA and ASIC logic design and hardware integration
