- Determine Key Performance Metrics for the End-to End Process. Manage data and reporting of KPIs.
- Work with Order Management, Production, Logistics, and Field Service to implement process improvement projects.
- Reduce external Quality Incident Reports (QIRs) by driving Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive actions with validation.
- Drive defect detection and prevention to the source.
- Work with Production team to reduce internal defects and interruptions to product flow.
- Mentor peers on preventative actions.
- Implementing and managing the Quality Management System strategy (QMS) including document control, training program, audit, change control, deviation/CAPA management and vendor management modules.
- Liaising between QA, Production, and Order Management in defining, implementation and management of the QMS strategy
- Collaborating with IT and operations for QMS process/system enhancements and process improvements
- Authoring, reviewing and approving policies, procedures, and other related documents for the Quality systems processes.
- Escalating Quality systems related issues to management for timely mitigation and closure
- Supplying Quality system support during regulatory inspections with document retrieval functions, inspection logistics oversight and other support as needed
- Maintaining and managing audit (external and internal) documentation
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Quality management systems
- Creating and delivering QMS key performance and quality matrices to QA leadership and Executive management
- Other duties as assigned by QA Leadership. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
- Role is required on-site.
- Engineering Degree preferred or relevant technical experience in problem solving and project management
- Understanding of problem-solving methods, i.e. 5 why, DFMEA, PFMEA, Process mapping used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective/preventive action determination.
- Solid interpersonal skills and effectively work with various levels within the organization and with team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Demonstrated ability to lead/coordinate projects with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of inspection methods in the design, fabrications, and production of electronic equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations.
- Familiar with recognized Quality Assurance Standards AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift from 5 to 50 pounds
