- Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
- License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
- Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
- Home health experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
- Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
- Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
- In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
- Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
- Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
- May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
