You will advise the primary staff and Commander on requirement issues, identifying and documenting operational capability gaps and shortfalls, and supporting U.S. space forces advocacy of capabilities required to meet the Command's operational needs. You'll conduct force management and analysis, integrating future concepts, coordinating mission capability needs, and advocating for space system development. As a planner you'll ensures that appropriate decision support tools and assessment processes are in place to enhance operational capabilities. Additionally, this role collaborates with stakeholders to develop and assess requirements for defense capabilities, estimates lifecycle costs, and contributes to the design and implementation of efficient business processes.You served your country—now, continue your mission with us. The world can’t wait.You Have:6+ years of experience in force management, analysis, and requirements development within the U.S. Government, including the DoD branch of serviceExperience with the allocation and management of resources within a U.S. government organization, including budgetary planning, distribution, and oversightExperience with estimating lifecycle costs associated with maintaining systemsKnowledge of budgetary planning, distribution, oversight, defense acquisition processes, and lifecycle cost estimationAbility to conduct force management and analysis, integrating future concepts, mission capability needs, and weapons system developmentAbility to coordinate support for emerging technologies and command and control architecture across mission areasAbility to develop and assess requirements for space capabilities in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter expertsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentTS/SCI clearanceBachelor's degreeNice If You Have:Experience working in the S8 or J8 for the Department of Defense branch of serviceExperience with process documentation and process improvement methodsExperience developing and managing procedures and documentsKnowledge of USSPACECOM Operational Concepts, Doctrine, Total Force Structure Management Systems, Defense Acquisition Lifecycle Management, and Joint Capability Development and IntegrationKnowledge of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processesKnowledge of Joint vs. Service level operationsPossession of excellent organizational skills and attention to detailPossession of analytical and problem-solving skillsPossession of excellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPossession of SharePoint and Access skillsClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.Create Your Career:Grow With Us

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
