- Directly responsible for managing the logistics team; is a contributor to EHS, quality, operations, and site leadership goals.
- Promotes a collaborative, friendly culture.
- Establishes and tracks site logistics KPIs; works with the operations manager on production planning efforts to improve process equipment reliability and OEE.
- Reviews & creates logistics processes and procedures for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, process improvements, etc.
- Works cross-functionally with corporate roles to align on plant capabilities to service our global customers.
- Manages receipts process for raw materials, trading goods and services, including work cycles and SAP transactions to support 3PLs.
- Performs plant cycle counts and transacts cycle count reconciliations in SAP for raw materials and intermediates.
- Interfaces with operations to inform logistics team of short-term schedule changes.
- Works alongside finance and accounts payable to identify variances in inventory/storage billing records.
- Works closely with warehouses to track and reconcile transfers in and out of 3PL.
- Identifies and reports out shrinkage and inventory shortcomings to clients and vendors.
- Supports production operations ensuring safe, timely, and efficient maintenance of all operations equipment and assets.
- Cooperates with EHS to conduct safety inspections and implement necessary corrective actions. Ensures the safety management of logistics personnel.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 Years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or related fields
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, including advanced features such as vlookups, pivot tables, if/and functions.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and effective communication skills
- Ability to manage large data sets
- Strong bias to action; self-directed with a strong work ethic; capable of working independently with limited supervision
- Ability to lead a small team and hold people accountable for their work
- Familiarity with a warehouse and/or inventory control environment
- Ability to occasionally work outside of established business hours and adjust personal schedule to meet deadlines as required
- Leadership and/or supervisory experience is a plus
