About the positionThe Foreman job entails supervising 6-8 people in a fully functional machine shop.The Foreman is required to
Keep jobs flowing by answering small logistical questions, or relaying questions to engineering for solutions
Keep the shop organized and keep track of inventory
Prioritize jobs based on due date and assigned priorities
Inspect jobs prior to shipment
Design crates and skids as required for shipments
Ensure all crew members are following safety procedures
The Foreman must have leadership skills as well as the ability to motivate employees and resolve conflicts.Assembly experience is preferred, but not required.Basic math skills are requiredFamiliarity with common tools and their uses (drills, wrenches, saws) required.Education: GED requiredThere will be on-the-job training for this position.
