Director of AdvancementMaria Regina High School500 W. Hartsdale AvenueHartsdale, NY 10530In partnership with the Principal and Board of Trustees, the Director of Advancement will develop and lead the efforts necessary to generate philanthropic revenue that will further the Mission of Maria Regina High School.Responsibilities
● Overall responsibility for all fundraising efforts, including major and planned gifts, direct mail,
foundations, and special events.
● Create, implement and evolve an annual strategic fundraising plan to grow each fundraising channel, as
well as develop other philanthropic resources necessary to support Maria Regina's mission.
● Identify, cultivate and sustain relationships with a wide variety of constituencies including current and
potential donors, foundations, local businesses, alumnae and community partners.
● Responsible for the enhancement of the Maria Regina image by being active and visible among local
business leaders and with other professional, civic and private organizations.
● Plan and operate an annual fundraising budget.
● Create and maintain a workplace environment that is professional, vibrant and adheres to the values of
Maria Regina High School.
● Manages the Office of Advancement which includes but is not limited to the Associate Director of
Alumnae Engagement and Events and one (1) Development AssociateQualifications:1. A bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of development and fundraising experience;
2. Transparent and high integrity leadership and a style that motivates people to perform their best;
3. Solid, proven budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and
reporting;
4. Strong organizational abilities including collaborating, planning, delegating, program development and
task facilitation;
5. Deep understanding and knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations with foundations,
individuals, corporations, and other sources;
6. Experience, interest and a proven track record with major gift fundraising;
7. Strong written and oral communication skills and appropriate self-confidence and maturity to effectively
communicate Maria Regina's vision at all levels and across organizational lines in a manner inspiring to
staff, board, donors and volunteers;
8. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff with a "hands-on" orientation to the workplace and
supervision, and the humility to be willing to take on any task at any time.Catholic High School Education/Experience and Basic understanding of Donor Database Software is preferred.Benefits (including but not limited to)
