- Using data and reliability principles to focus improvement effort in obtaining optimal availability of the equipment
- Build reports and delver presentations to management
- Undertake reliability performance evaluations, predictions and standardised reporting
- Actively participate in various safety activities
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Clearly write reports detailing work performed and problems found
- Work with the Maintenance Superintendent to establish an operating budget
- Ensure all charges remain within budget, report on cost variances and identify cost savings opportunities
- Plan, approve and monitor any expenditure under your authority
- Promote and adhere to appropriate internal methodologies, policies, procedures and standards
- Consistently maintain a high quality of work within the maintenance team
- Provide input regarding improvement opportunities and areas of risk
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (including Company Policy, Standards, and Procedures) through training and development of staff and promoting by example.
- Minimum Diploma, Certificate in Maintenance and Reliability
- Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance background
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Reliability
- Minimum 3 years in Condition Based monitoring
- Highly skilled in Conducting Oil sampling, Vibration analysis, Thermography inspection and Thickness testing
- Non-destructive Testing
- Set up and implement monitoring and analysis of reporting systems and performance
- Experience in Asset Management Risk Reduction / Elimination programs such as RCA and FMEA systems
- French language skills desired and essential
- Experience within the mining sector in Africa preferred
- Working experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and build effective relationships and networks
- Demonstrates strong conceptual skills, and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions
- Ability to respond to a changing work environment
- The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time
- A Reputation for integrity and ethics.
