- Ability to Set Sales Targets: Establishing sales goals and targets for the team based on company objectives and market analysis.
- Developing Sales Strategies: Creating strategies to achieve sales targets, including identifying target markets, defining sales tactics, and implementing pricing strategies.
- Leading and Motivating the Sales Team: Providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to the sales team to ensure they meet or exceed their targets.
- Training and Development: Conducting training sessions to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills within the team.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Hiring new sales representatives and overseeing their onboarding process to ensure they are equipped to succeed in their roles.
- Performance Evaluation:Monitoring and evaluating the performance of individual sales team members against their targets and providing feedback and support for improvement.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Analysing sales data to forecast future sales trends and preparing regular reports for senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market conditions.
- Sales Administration: Managing pipeline of RFPs and Contracts ensuring timely and accurate response to all pending sales opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Implementing and maintaining CRM systems to track customer interactions, manage leads, and improve customer relationship management.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Working closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to align sales strategies with overall company objectives and ensure a coordinated approach to customer engagement.
- Budget Management: Managing the sales department budget, including allocating resources effectively and controlling expenses to maximize profitability.
- Staying Informed About Industry Trends: Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities and potential challenges for the sales team.
- Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Addressing any issues or conflicts within the sales team or with clients in a timely and effective manner to maintain positive relationships and ensure the smooth functioning of sales operations.
