- Age/Work Authorization: Must be at least 18 years of age, or possess the necessary work permit and authorization documents.
- Background Check: Applicants must pass a background check.
- Attitude and Teamwork: Demonstrates a positive attitude, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in their work.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods and light lifting (less than 15 pounds).
- Driver's License: Possesses a valid driver's license.
- CPR Certification: Preferred. Training will be provided for non-certified staff by Rushton Recovery.
- TB Risk Assessment: Required upon hire, with potential for additional testing.
- Experience: Prior housekeeping experience is preferred. Experience in a related field is also advantageous but not mandatory.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred but not obligatory.
- Maintain clear lines of communication with colleagues and superiors.
- Foster a customer-centered service culture through proactive hospitality.
- Cleaning areas: bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, common areas, and offices.
- Ensure all bathrooms within the facility are clean at all times.
- Perform all laundry duties at Rushton Recovery.
- Remove all trash and refill receptacle with new bag.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum as needed.
- Set up and post appropriate caution/safety signs before undertaking cleaning tasks that could pose slip/fall or other safety risks, removing them upon task completion.
- Report any health, safety, and sanitation concerns to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Maintain attractive and hazard-free work areas, ensuring housekeeping supplies are securely locked when not in use.
- Utilize proper safety and protective equipment when handling hazardous waste or chemicals.
- Adhere to established policies regarding labels and safety data sheets.
- Demonstrate tact and friendliness when interacting with clients, staff, and guests.
- Assist in the evacuation of clients in case of fire or other emergencies.
