- You will act as a strategic visionary who thinks about where a program or product line is heading or needs to go, while considering the technical aspects of how to get us there and then driving the execution of that strategy across multiple programs
- You will be a strong advocate for technical integrity of modeling and simulation products across multiple programs and product lines
- You will be viewed as an expert and serve as a consultant to the organization to help develop technologies to achieve organization growth targets in modeling & simulation, algorithm development, or performance-related studies
- You will be the technical expert in a team environment on diverse projects, providing solutions to create high fidelity simulations and models for missile system design, performance assessment, flight test support, trade studies and evaluations
- You will work alone, or through oversight of teams, to solve the hardest Modeling and Simulation obstacles
- You will oversee a technical team, mentor engineers, and/or manage an engineering project
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and twelve (12) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
- Experience designing and performing analysis of high fidelity performance simulations
- Experience using tools for evaluation of data sets
- Programming in C++, C, or other high order language
- Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations
- Experience providing Engineering expertise to previous programs
- Experience participating in project design reviews and/or peer reviews
- Experience preparing/delivering technical briefings to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Must be the author of intellectual property (patent disclosures) and conference/journal publications in a modeling and simulation technical areas within the past ten (10) years
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
- Recognized technical authority in modeling and simulation
- High level of expertise to drive technical solutions
- Well known with established relationships in industry
- Proven knowledge of fundamental concepts, with the ability to drive technical solutions
- Ability to participate in definition of team goals and provide solutions to complex technical tasks
- A strategic visionary who does not operate in a silo, but can think about where a program or product line is heading or needs to go, while considering the technical aspects of how to get us there
- Mentor and advocate of respect, diversity and ethics
- Complementary expertise in the areas of signal processing, guidance navigation & control, or hardware design and test
- Business development experience including technical and cost proposal preparation
- Program management experience and familiarity with defense product lifecycles
- Excellent verbal and written communications with internal and/or external customers and team members
- Current Secret or Top Secret Department of Defense Clearance
