- Diagnose and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer site. Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
- Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Completing training in line with skill and business requirements while adhering to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
- Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for Technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with Power Generation products.
- Basic level field service work experience including customer service experience and High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- This position requires a Technical/Trade School degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience. Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician (preferred)
- This position will require a completed DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification File. Candidate must be at least 18 years old and have 2 years driving experience. This position will be part of FTA pool.
- A current valid drivers license (with 2 years driving experience at minimum) is required for this role as well as a 5 year Motor Vehicle Report, free of any major violations.
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
- The regular schedule for this position will be 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
- A current valid license is required for this role
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- 3 years driving experience
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.
