Per Diem Float Pool OverviewIf you are searching for a flexible RN position with PREMIUM PAY, the Registered Nurse Per Diem Float Pool is a great opportunity! Enjoy a flexible schedule and float within the hospital wherever there are staffing needs. These positions require a minimum of 1 year of med surg telemetry experience as we float all float pool nurses to all the Med Surg units and any of the following core units (IMC, Telemetry, ICU, ED) float nurses have worked previously.Type C-Minimum of five 12-hour shifts per six-week schedule; 1 full weekend per six-week schedule, 1 holiday per year, 1 hard to fill shift per yearAdditional Requirements· Candidates cannot frontload or backload their requirements, meaning shifts must be spread out throughout the 6-week schedule instead of knocking them all out in the first week or so and not working again until the next 6 weeks.· For call outs on scheduled weekend shifts, they have to be made up within the 6-week period.MedStar Health Nursing BenefitsFree parking for associates at all 4 Baltimore hospitalsSystem-wide RN referral bonus program - up to $6000 per RN and $4000 per LPNIncreased charge, preceptor pay and tuition assistanceRelocation assistance up to $5000 if you live 50 miles away from your location
Education
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing required; bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Bachelor’s degree in nursing enrollment required within 6 months of start date and completion within 3 years
Experience
  • 1-2 years RN experience required. 1 year of medical surgical telemetry RN experience required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment Upon Hire required and
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation by completion of introductory period required. ACLS strongly preferred
Delivers proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex; identifies current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations; critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses
