LAND DEVELOPMENT MANAGERElliott Homes, LLC is seeking a full-time experienced Land Development Manager for the South Alabama region. Reporting to the COO, the LDM will manage Land projects after the purchase of land through to completion. The LDM will act as the liaison between Construction, Government Authorities, Consultants, and Contractors to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner while striving to create a place where life gets better.We offer a competitive salary, bonus opportunities, benefits package, and 401k plan.Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of Development Plans & Subdivision Roll-Out to Elliott Homes:
  • Oversee budget – dates, and costs
  • Oversee construction of subdivision infrastructure and amenities to ensure schedule and budget compliance.
  • Subdivision Turnover:
  • Lot Fits
  • Drainage and Grading Plans
  • Lot Development Costs
  • Ensure the development plan delivered to Elliott Homes is being followed:
  • Once per month, assess each subdivision for adherence or deficiencies to the development plan relating to SWPPP, drainage & grading, damage to infrastructure by trades, entrance & common area landscaping, and amenities.
  • Report delivered land COO to determine action items.
  • Take the action plan and work with Elliott Homes Field Managers to implement it.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or similar program preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development and construction/engineering, specifically working as a superintendent on new home construction sites.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural plans at a high level of proficiency.
  • Must be able to manage project communication effectively and consistently meet important deadlines in a proactive manner.
  • Able to professionally manage competing priorities without missing deadlines.
  • Self-Driven and resourceful
  • Attention to Detail and Persistence in follow-up
  • Valid Driver’s License required
