Every day, our community of students, families, teachers, and staff comes together to learn, work, and play in an environment grounded in our values of Bienestar (Well-Being), Culture of Belonging, Community Partnership, Agency & Self-Determination, and Joy.The Opportunity:The Employee Services (Human Resources) Compliance Specialist is a critical role who will work closely as an integral part of the Employee Services team to provide support with a specific focus on the day-to-day operations within the Employee Services team. The Specialist will manage a series of compliance support, verification of employment, manage teacher residents, and support legal requests. The job will require a keen eye for detail, be able to multitask several projects and enjoy a fast-paced, team environment.What You Will Do:Project Management and ComplianceWork with the Employee Services team to ensure the teams’ priorities, initiatives, and goals are met.Manage, initiate, and drive processing New Teacher Residents full cycle, including sending onboarding, overseeing compliance, and on/off boarding.Manage, initiate, and drive SafeSchools manage deployment every year, reporting, compliance, and support with inquiries.Collaborate with the Employee Services team to update the MyAspire intranet.Manage all aspects of complianceTB for existing hires. Ensure that data is being reviewed monthly to ensure that compliance is met, specifically TB expiration.Quarterly audits to confirm I-9 verifications are complete for new hires.As a custodian of record ensure that subsequent arrests are being reviewed by the Director of Employee Services, Employee Services Managers, and Legal with urgency and timely.Maintain the DOJ billing processing and reporting.Maintain the DOJ/TB clearances for volunteers and contractors.Manage Audits, including generating data and reports.Compliance Posters, order, communicate, and distribute the required updates to our schools and regional offices.Support the Employee Services Managers with Tuition Reimbursement when needed – entering for processing and communicating with teammates if follow-up is needed.Support the Analyst with Onboarding during the summer season or when needed.Verification of employment, including loan forgiveness, income requests from lenders, district requestsEDD – managing EDD files and claimsManage, initiate, and drive the process for Reasonable Assurance, working with our school Business Managers, Principals, and Employee Relations.Vaccination RecordsCustomer Service:Zendesk: Answers HR emails and routes emails accordingly.Administrative Support:Maintain and support audits of personnel files/payroll files, records, and e-file system for Employee Services and Payroll, including files for Subpoenas and legal claims.Invoice Employees returning from Leaves.What You Will Bring:Required knowledge, skills & abilities:High level of flexibility and professionalismExcellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills; high sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple tasks concurrently and timely to meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizationProcess-oriented and drivenExcellent analytical skills and can assimilate information quicklyAbility to think strategically and tacticallyAbility to work both individually and in a team environmentWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, and OutlookOutstanding customer service skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to be proactive and take initiative within their workProficient in Microsoft Office Tools, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and OneNoteProficient in Google Workspace, specifically Drive, Docs, Sheets, and SlidesDemonstrate knowledge of and support, Aspire Public Schools' mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behaviorPerform other related duties as required and assignedMinimum educational level:High School Diploma or equivalent job skillsExperience required:Minimum 2 years of related experience in a fast-paced environmentExperience working in a K-12 school environment preferredPhysical requirements:Stand, walk or bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull.
