Account Manager, Home DepotWork Mode: RemoteLocation: Remote - US Southeast RegionOpportunityResponsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for assigned categories through all channels of The Home Depot. This associate will report directly to Sr. Director of Sales - The Home Depot and HomeDepot.com and will develop strong relationships with The Home Depot Merchants and other key decision makers. Will also drive engagement with internal partners in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, etc.Specific Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales and profitability plans for Home Depot.
  • Develop and leverage a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics in each category (product, pricing, competitive, promotional, placement, etc.) to inform business decisions.
  • Partner with Marketing and Home Depot Merchants to create winning strategic and tactical plans with respect to product, pricing, promotions, and placement. Act as the primary owner and initiator of items in the tactical plan.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive 3-5-year plans for each category to establish and maintain a competitive advantage vs. competition.
  • Lead the development, presentation, and negotiation of all proposals including Product Line Reviews, Business Reviews and Rapid Business Reviews.
  • Define the assortment of products available through Direct Fulfillment Centers and Kohler Drop Ship, secure Merchant approval, and drive onboarding accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Account Manager to create and maintain an accurate product forecast and ensure appropriate inventory levels for each fulfillment method.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement best in class interconnected retail merchandising in brick & mortar as well as digital spaces.
  • Provide category specific direction regarding focus products and campaign focus for the shopper marketing program.
  • Assist in the coordination of activities executed by the Kohler Brand Advocate.
  • Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Leverage insights to make better informed business decisions and drive growth.
  • Develop strong relationship with Merchants, Supply Chain, and Marketing partners within the Home Depot organization.
  • Ensure in-store SKUs are launched online at least 30 days prior to in-store launch.
  • Develop, propose, and obtain funding for annual promotional calendar for assigned categories.
  • Assist Marketing and Finance in building accurate pro-formas and budgets related to category initiatives.
  • Ultimately owns the rollout of new products and any resets within the categories including proposal, SKU setup, order placement, order fulfillment, in-store execution, POP/merchandising, and post-set performance.
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of five years of retail sales experience
