- You will check patient charts for needed exam and tests.
- You will prepare patients for exams – administers pre-medication, radioactive isotopes and transfers patient to examining table.
- You will scan the patient – making proper settings on the gamma camera.
- You will read or survey the amount of radiation given off by certain radioactive material shipped to the department.
- You will record every radioactive isotope for inspection by the Bureau of Radiation Control.
- You will record information on patient history and examination.
- You will assist in administering I-131 therapy and maintain I-131 therapy schedule, record scan and test results.
- You will order radioactive isotopes in a timely manner.
- You will file the patient record and maintain proper charge code and exam.
- CPR required
- State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
- 1 year of experience preferred, but not required
- Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period
- Shift as scheduled. Employee is required to take call, assist with weekend and holiday coverage and assist with Tulane Downtown location as well
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
