Evaporator Operator

• Operation and adjustment of the evaporation and supply equipment
• Maintain operations data such as time, production units and quality information
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production
• Report to the Production Manager on a daily basis with all relevant production information and detail any non-conformances
• Report to the technical team any non-conformances and actions taken
• Report any machine problems to the Engineering department
• Monitoring of productivity and performance of the packing department, meeting all relevant KPIs
• Participate in Manufacturing/Operations meetings regarding maintenance as required
• Ensuring that the highest levels of quality and workmanship are maintained and all required training needs for the function are met
• Maintain a clean and tidy working area

• 3 years in a similar role in a Manufacturing environment is essential
• A food-based diploma is desirable but not essential
• Technical operator experience is essential
• Experience in understanding and using computerised controls is preferred
• Understanding of pumps and control valves preferred
• Experience with chemicals and hot liquid handling is preferred
• Experience in CIP of food production equipment preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Strong negotiation skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task is essential.
• A clear demonstration of an ability to provide guidance and motivation to others is required.
• Working hours must be flexible.
