We welcome diverse viewpoints, innovative thinking, and an eagerness to get things done.Do work that mattersYou will report to the Product Owner, Speciality Products and Simplification for your day-to-day delivery and a Chapter Lead to support with your performance and career development. As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in delivering on our Home Buying Climate Strategy. You will be a key contributor to managing our climate agenda and using industry, commercial and regulatory subject matter expertise to develop and enhance the product offering, identifying compelling customer propositions that meet and exceed customer needs. This will enable our customers to have more sustainable homes and support CommBank’s climate leadership aspirations.You will move forward with less-than-perfect information, confidently address stakeholder questions and concerns, and possess the ability to accurately evaluate ambiguous situations to reach informed decisions. You will have the ability to resolve complex issues by first having a clear understanding of the problem, and then using effective strategies and techniques to generate appropriate solutions.Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and lead product reviews and address key governance requirements (e.g. Product Governance Forum, Product Development and Distribution Policy, Pricing and Credit Risk)
  • Prepare product papers and reports to various governance forums, senior stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to get buy-in and alignment with the climate strategy and approach
  • Work with impacted teams to ensure effective embedding of product changes
  • Content development and management for products within your problem space
  • Participate in the quarterly business planning cycles, working with your squad to prioritise the backlog and accurately manage delivery expectations
  • Support business verification testing activities
  • Actively participate within your team to discuss progress, impediments and prioritisation
  • Access and analyse data to make informed recommendations and decisions about the right path forward
  • Understand the evolving regulatory environment that the product operates within
  • Manage operational risk incidents and issues relating to the product, uplifting and implementing controls where required
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
  • Previous experience in product management and/or climate solutions is highly regarded, especially within financial services
  • Experience in delivering multiple initiatives, projects or change management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of operations and compliance risk management or frameworks
  • Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to deal with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment preferred
