Job Description:The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing of the weekly and bi-weekly payrolls and other miscellaneous duties that pertain to the payroll and payroll tax area. Research and resolve discrepancies with employee earnings, deducaitons and all other payroll payments. Works closely with respective divisions and assist division personnel with payroll and system related issues. Submit ACH information for employee DD. Oversees the assigned division's payroll process to ensure all reports and journals are in balance for posting GL. Responsible for garnishment processing as needed.Major Duties/Responsibilities of Position:Preparation of payroll input, collecting of time sheet data, commissions and bonus information.Calculate hours worked, OT, other earnings, gross pay, deductions and required withholdings and earnings.Set up Direct DepositsPrepare and process payroll reports and checksSubmits ACH file to bank for interim paymentsMaintain PTO information in JDEProcess garnishmentsCorrect and post Journal Entries to GLBalancing and issuing of W2Reconcile payroll taxes and deposit to GLBackground/Experience Required:Minimum 5-6 years payroll experience (in house processing preferred)Experience with payroll procedures, wage & hour law, CA labor law, union requirementsPersonal and mainframe computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, JDE System experience preferred
