- Execute strategic sales plans to maximize growth opportunities within the assigned territory based on monthly KPIs
- Maintain communication with existing, previous, and potential customers, alerting them of new products that may be of interest.
- Merchandise all Congo Brands products within assigned accounts to company standards, ensuring proper product rotation, etc.
- Identify, target, and sample existing and potential accounts, both individually and in partnership with distributors, to maximize allocated and/or open shelf space, drive volume growth, increase brand awareness, and generate sales leads within an assigned territory.
- Maintain and provide detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, market trends, while providing necessary back-up to support sales and bonus programs objectives.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; partner with key stakeholders to resolve any territory issues that may arise post-sale.
- Ensure that distributors’ merchandising personnel adequately service accounts based on sales achieved and shelf/floor space obtained by Territory Sales Manager.
- Attend distributor meetings on a regular basis and scheduling time with the distributor’s sales team in the trade
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Sales experience
- Basic computer operating skills to include handheld devices.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities, along with the ability to act independently.
- Be at least 21 years of age and have and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Congo Brands, LLC standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to perform physical activities required by the job duties including occasionally lifting and moving up to 50 pounds individually and greater weights with assistance; ability to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical acts associated with selling, demonstrating, and marketing product in an assigned territory.
- Ability to successfully meet standards of physical examinations and substance abuse testing, if required
- Sales experience with consumer-packaged goods in the beverage market.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Local travel in assigned territory daily (within 25 miles)
