Summary:SCNG is looking for a Advertising Sales Director to oversee and lead a sales division with revenue responsibility across the Southern California market. In addition this role will function as the lead sales strategist on top accounts to ensure correct product solutions, pricing, and execution is in place.What you will do:Managing a team of Account Executives and Business Development Executives based in the Southern California marketLead team performance; focused on new business growth, product revenue performance, regional market share, revenue retention, upsell growth, cross sell growth and contribution targets through deal profitability managementEffectively manage sales pipelines across all direct reports through data driven performance metrics and KPIsProvide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and account volume forecasting metrics using projected and historical data and trendsBuild and execute strategies to drive new business, revenue growth for new products, all while still maintaining a year over year revenue and account baseWork cross functionally with Demand Generation, Content Marketing and Ad Operations on new business and win back opportunities using historical category, spend and product performance data to drive lead generation strategiesFunction as the lead sales strategist across all accounts working in conjunction with direct sellers on product strategy, sales proposals, client analysis, negotiations, and campaign performance reviewsWork cross functionally with Ad Operations on ensuring workflows and execution align to support client retention effortsDrive development on client reporting, analysis, and necessary metrics to ensure customer investment is validatedAssist on large opportunity client sales calls by providing data and analysis to support campaign recommendationsWork cross functionally with Ad Operations on product performance and UI/UX of client facing platformsBuild and foster team culture in a remote first office environmentElevate and train members of the team to further knowledge and skills around emerging media trends, data and insightsAttract and recruit top talent as positions open to ensure all business is properly supportedWhat you will bring:7+ years in a strategic leadership role with 8 or more direct reports within a sales division for a digital agency, digital publisher or digital media company managing towards hitting multimillion dollar annual revenue targetsProficient and advanced working knowledge of online and offline media buying tactics with the use of data; 5+ years of experience selling programmatic, search, and social media is requiredExperience building, recruiting, and retaining high performing talent; must have an understanding of knowledge gaps to source and execute development of team through training and product certificationsProven track record of success in building, owning, and executing of long and short term divisional strategies and tacticsKnowledge of digital adtech and delivery platforms such as Google Ad Manager and METAProficient and advanced working knowledge of reading and optimizing against campaign and performance analytics within platforms such as G360Leadership skills, including “lead by example” management style with the ability to make data based decisions and own outcomesProject management skills with experience in building business plans and presenting to executive teamsStrong presentation skills and ability to articulate well based on different stakeholdersFamiliarity with Salesforce CRM along with building reports and dashboards; can do independent analysis and reporting using excel and data exportsA pulse on the latest trends in the media and advertising landscapeAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deliverablesPossess a high level of critical thinking skills, project management skills, and communication skillsMust be located in the LA area with regular onsite expectations in Irvine, CA.The annual salary range is $135,000 - $145,000. This position is eligible for incentive compensation (commission), and cell phone reimbursement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance.
