is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the organization in the market.LeadershipActs as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.RESPONSABILITIESNetwork Design and Planning:Develop and design complex network architectures to meet the organization's current and future requirements.Plan network upgrades and expansions while considering scalability and security.Network Implementation:Deploy and configure network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.Ensure proper integration of new network technologies and services.Network Security:Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists, to safeguard the network from threats.Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and traffic patterns.Identify and resolve network issues, including downtime and connectivity problems, in a timely manner.Capacity Planning:Analyze network traffic patterns and usage to predict future capacity requirements.Recommend upgrades and optimizations to support growing network demands.Network Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records.Network Automation:Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline network provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.Team Leadership and Mentoring:Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams on network-related projects.Vendor Management:Evaluate and select network hardware and software vendors.Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes.Policy and Compliance:Ensure that the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and organizational policies.Develop and enforce network-related policies and procedures.SKILLS:Advanced Networking Protocols and TechnologiesIn-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.Proficiency in emerging technologies like SD-WAN, SDN, and network virtualization.Security ExpertiseStrong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network segmentation.Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and threat mitigation strategies.Routing and SwitchingMastery of router and switch configurations, including Cisco, Juniper, or other leading vendors.Expertise in designing and optimizing routing tables and switching fabrics for high performance and redundancy.Network Monitoring and ManagementProficiency with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.Ability to troubleshoot network issues and implement proactive monitoring solutions.Cloud NetworkingKnowledge of cloud networking services and configurations in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Skill in connecting on-premises networks to cloud environments securely.Network Automation and ScriptingProficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Ansible for automating network tasks.Experience with network automation frameworks like Puppet or Chef.Load Balancing and Content DeliveryUnderstanding of load balancing concepts and technologies.Familiarity with content delivery networks (CDNs) for optimizing content delivery and performance.Network Design and ArchitectureAbility to design and implement complex network architectures, considering scalability, redundancy, and performance.Experience with network documentation and diagramming tools like Visio.Troubleshooting and Problem SolvingStrong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.Proficiency in packet analysis and debugging techniques.Soft Skills and LeadershipExcellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.Leadership abilities to mentor junior engineers, lead projects, and make strategic decisions.Problem SolvingSolves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions;
