- A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- 1 to 2 years of work experience
- Ability to work assigned hours, which may include evenings, “bell-to-bell” hours, and/or Saturdays
- One or more years of professional detailing experience in a dealership environment
- Ability to drive a vehicle equipped with a manual (standard) transmission
- Professionally washing vehicle, jambs, bed, wheel wells, rims and engine compartment using various chemicals, pressure washer equipment, brushes and other tools.
- Removing vinyl, stickers, road paint, spores, rail dust, oxidation and other contaminants, as needed.
- Improving exterior painted and unpainted surfaces using tools and techniques such as clay bar, wet sanding, DA equipment, compound, polish, wax, sealants and others, as needed.
- Cleaning and conditioning interior surfaces and compartments using compressed air, vacuums, brushes, microfiber rags, sponges and a variety of chemicals and tools.
- Removing spots and stains from fabrics, headliners and leather surfaces, and reconditioning when appropriate.
- Applying paint or dye to fabrics, leathers, carpets, scratches and vinyl, when needed.
- Applying both interior and exterior warranty treatments sold by finance department.
- Applying dealership branding material.
- Locating and relocating vehicles from one department to the next and updating dealership’s electronic vehicle tracking software as work is completed.
- Fueling vehicles or filling emergency gas cans at local Convenience Stores
- Retrieving vehicles purchased at auctions or other sites
- Delivering vehicles to or retrieving vehicles from various locations or places of business for various reasons (auto dealerships, specialty upfitting establishments, body shops, sporting events, etc.)
- Assisting with dealership facilities maintenance- taking out trash, cleaning spills, etc.
- Washing/drying shop towels, putting away supplies, cleaning up the shop
- Checking the Sales lot to ensure vehicles have proper signs, stickers, etc.
- Participating in snow removal and related activities
- Driving dealership vehicles in parades or other events
- Serving as a Lot Attendant or Porter (after appropriate training)
