We are looking for a teammate to work in our Head Office as the ‘Accounting Specialist" to take part in our expanding organization in retail. This position will report directly to the Turkey Operational General Manager. You will take the roles and responsibilities in a fast-growing environment. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for all accounting activities of the company and ensure that processes are realized in accordance with the accounting procedures and principles and in accordance with the legislation 
  • Booking of accounting records according to a uniform chart of accounts 
  • Preparation of invoices in accordance with contracts 
  • Obtaining the necessary approvals regarding purchase invoices and completing the internal approval processes before recording the documents 
  • Preparing bank payments and obtaining necessary approvals for payments 
  • Tracking payments 
  • Enter banking statements into the accounting system. 
  • Carrying out bank transactions and operation processes (tax, social security, and other payments), providing statements and periodic documents 
  • Preparation of regular reports (Inventory report, Accruals) for monthly accounting closing operations 
  • Recording income and expense accruals according to the periodicity principle 
  • Reconciliation of accounts and tracking of the debt and credits. 
  • Regularly revising the supplier list every month and sharing it with the team. 
  • Prepare monthly payroll, calculate all taxes, Social Security and payment to employees/ authorities 
  • Carrying out all processes in accordance with the company’s policies 
  • Organizing and archiving accounting files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices 
  • All other activities according to Management request in behalf of job position requirements 
     

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economy, Business Administration or other related majors 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, retail sector is preferable 
  • Good knowledge of Türkiye's Uniform accounting system and Uniform chart of accounts as well as IFRS 
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office especially excel 
  • Fluency both in English and Turkish, both written and verbal 
  • Experience in handling and reporting e-Invoice, e-delivery, and e-ledger on a timely basis 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize 
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work well under pressure, independently and meet deadlines. 
  • Living or willing to live in European side of İstanbul
