- 5+ years of experience in the structural steel industry with Tekla EPM software
- Experienced in structural steel fabrication and erection.
- Knowledge of current structural steel codes and standards
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Ability to calculate costs and prepare estimates.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Prepare and review estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and communicate with team members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Manage and monitor project budgets and schedules.
- Monitor and review changes in project scope.
- Ensure all materials, labor, and equipment costs are accurately included in estimates.
- Prepare accurate material take-offs.
- Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategies.
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between estimates and actual costs.
- Monitor the progress of projects and recommend changes to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Produce estimates, bids, and proposals for projects.
- Analyze materials, labor, and equipment costs for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection process
- Proficient in Tekla EPM software and relevant software
- Knowledge of current structural steel codes and standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
