gpac is partnered with a well-established Manufacturing company. They are searching for a Structural Steel Estimator. Our client company manufactures and installs structural steel for the commercial construction industry. Due to continued growth, our client company needs to hire a structural steel estimator who has over 5 years of experience, with working experience with Tekla EPM software and structural steel fabrication and erection.Qualifications for Structural Steel Estimator:
  • 5+ years of experience in the structural steel industry with Tekla EPM software
  • Experienced in structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Knowledge of current structural steel codes and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Ability to calculate costs and prepare estimates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities for Structural Steel Estimator:
  • Prepare and review estimates for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate and communicate with team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets and schedules.
  • Monitor and review changes in project scope.
  • Ensure all materials, labor, and equipment costs are accurately included in estimates.
  • Prepare accurate material take-offs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategies.
Estimator Job Functions:
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between estimates and actual costs.
  • Monitor the progress of projects and recommend changes to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
  • Produce estimates, bids, and proposals for projects.
  • Analyze materials, labor, and equipment costs for accuracy and completeness.
Structural Steel Estimator Skills:
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection process
  • Proficient in Tekla EPM software and relevant software
  • Knowledge of current structural steel codes and standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
