[What the role is]We are looking for resourceful and service-oriented individuals to join the Operations & Facilities Management Department which oversees the operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at a crematorium at Mandai and will play a key role in providing after-death care services.[What you will be working on]You will be responsible for the following:Lead a team to work with the existing construction and consultant team to oversee the progress of the construction works and subsequently take over the Mechanical & Electrical systems/equipment and building facilities & structures in the various construction phases.Lead and manage a group of technical and operations staff in the safe and efficient operation of the crematorium.Lead and manage the maintenance team of the crematorium to achieve optimal maintenance standards.Plan and implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programmes for the crematorium facilities and equipmentManage operations for special annual festivals such as Qing MingReview and monitor cremation processes to enhance productivity and service standards.Handle and manage feedback/appeals from members of public.Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.[What we are looking for]Requirements:At least 5 years of working experience in environmental public health, or other fields with operations or service management in a leadership positionExperience in the operations and maintenance of process plant equipment would be an advantageAble to lead, interact and foster teamworkAble to handle adverse situations and difficult customersProficient in Microsoft Office Applications, e.g. excel functions, creative presentationsGood problem-solving, writing & communication skillsKeen to take initiatives and carry out plansPay attention to the finer detailsOrganised and able to multi-taskMature, independent, responsible and resourcefulSelf-driven and always ready to strive for improvementWilling to work in after-death care services environmentAble and willing to work on weekends and public holidaysApplicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
