Basic Purpose/Job Summary To perform various accounting tasks in relation to the books of accounts of the company and its subsidiaries Qualifications: With a bachelor's degree in Accountancy With at least 1-2 years of experience in General Accounting Must be proficient in MS Office applications and has experience in using any Accounting or ERP system; background in using SAP is an advantage Must have high mathematical and analytical skills Must be highly organized and meticulous, with keen attention to details With strong interpersonal skills, cutting across all levels of an organization Must have a good command of the English language and be able to communicate well, both in oral and written forms Self-starter, results-oriented, and hardworking Must have good moral character, be trustworthy, and can work with passion and integrity Must be flexible especially in terms of work schedule that can change from time to time according to need Must be willing to work in Ortigas Center, Pasig City Responsibilities: The Accounting Clerk must be able to do the following functions: Checking the validity of receipts from suppliers and preparing invoices in SAP (e.g. Sales Invoices, SOA, Billing Statements, or Delivery Receipts) Recording of entries in SAP (e.g. Payment to Utilities, Miscellaneous Expenses, and other related expenses with proper GL accounts, including tax-related amounts) Ensuring that all requests for payment and liquidation are timely processed Ensuring that all excess cash advances of employees are immediately returned as mandated by company policy Handling employee liquidation and ensuring that supporting documents are valid and approved by authorized signatories Preparing the journal entries of other transactions on the assigned GL Account Providing accounting and other clerical support to the accounting department Performing other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
