Secret 6 is seeking a skilled Gameplay Engineer to join our team in creating exceptional video game experiences. As a Gameplay Engineer at Secret 6, you will have the opportunity to work on top-tier games for a variety of platforms, shaping the way players interact with our titles. We are focused on delivering the highest-quality co-development, QA, and 3D art production for our clients and are looking for candidates who share our dedication to excellence.1. Game Development:

Collaborate with game designers and artists to implement and maintain engaging gameplay features, including player controls, AI behaviors, physics interactions, and special effects.
Architect code and tools to translate game design ideas into functional gameplay elements while adhering to project requirements.

2. Technical Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams (artists, designers, audio, QA) to integrate assets and technologies, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Stay updated with project design and technology stack, adapting to new technologies as required for project success.

3. Code Quality and Standards:

Write clean, efficient, and scalable code that meets established architecture and company standards, ensuring performance and reliability within project timelines.

4. Documentation and Communication:

Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and code comments, to facilitate team understanding and collaboration.
Communicate progress, address technical challenges, and coordinate efforts effectively across disciplines.

5. Quality Assurance and Testing:

Develop and execute unit tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with QA testers to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring high-quality final products.

6. Continuous Learning and Improvement:

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance team productivity.

7. Collaboration:

Maintain strong collaborative relationships with design, art, audio, QA, and other development teams, providing technical guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.

Requirements

2 or more years of professional experience in game development

Demonstrates a quick learning curve and the ability to thrive in diverse coding environments.
Possesses a deep understanding of various programming paradigms used in game development.
Enthusiastically embraces gaming culture, stays informed about industry trends, and is eager to contribute to innovative game projects.
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and communicates technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Mastery of C++ and C# programming languages with a focus on game development.
Demonstrates exceptional debugging abilities to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Strong foundation in mathematics, including algebra, calculus, and geometry, essential for game programming.

Practical experience with game engines and frameworks such as Unity and Unreal Engine, including proficiency in leveraging their features and workflows.

Bonus Points: * Advanced skills in Unreal Engine

Skill using Lua programming language
Console development experience
iOS/Android development experience
Degree in Computer Science/Game Development/Math or related field
