Pollution Control Officer

• Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify potential sources of pollution and ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
• Monitor construction activities, including material handling, waste management, and erosion control measures, to prevent environmental contamination.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate pollution control measures into construction plans and activities.
• Provide training and guidance to site personnel on pollution prevention techniques, environmental regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of environmental monitoring data, inspection reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Respond promptly to environmental incidents, such as spills or violations, and implement corrective actions to mitigate environmental damage.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate permit applications, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Stay informed about new environmental regulations, industry trends, and technological advancements relevant to pollution control in the construction sector.
• Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability across the organization.

• 5 years of experience as PCO
• Construction background is an advantage but not required
